We liked Fishermans Chalet. Staff were great, nice bungalows and beds were nice with great linens and pillows. The receptionist lent my husband her scooter, at no charge, so he could go to the store & arranged all our taxis etc.They also rent the scooters. She was great. They have a great infinity pool overlooking the garden too. Beach is a 5 min. walk, but it is not very nice. Lots of garbage, which is not the fault of the resort & you wouldn t want to swim there. It is quite shameful and we are seeing a lot of it everywhere we go. You are quite isolated, can walk to the Butterfly Garden and the Zoo & Aquarium, however, we passed on the Zoo & Aquarium as it was expensive & we do not condone what they do there ie; sedating animals for tourism after reading all the horrendous reviews about the conditions of the cages & animals & talking to people who regretted paying to go there. They warned us not to go, so we gave it a pass. There is a Cool Bar you can walk to right beside the Centara Villas and we had a good time there. If you want isolation and peace & quiet, this is the place. Overall, Fishermans Chalet was clean with beautiful gardens but there is not much to do at this end of the island & the beach is not a swimming beach. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]
